BürgerBegehren Klimaschutz
BürgerBegehren Klimaschutz (BBK) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 with the aim of protecting the climate. To achieve this goal, BBK selects specific issues for example increase the capabilities and expansion of renewable power. BBK offers help and advises interested people, citizens are part of the development, they can participate (e.g. with votes). Furthermore BBK catches the public attention with many climate protection activities, which take place in Germany. Right now we started a petition for a referendum in Berlin to bring back the power supplies and establish a ” Stadtwerk” which produces 100 % energie from renewable power. BBK wants to concentrate on these activities, so that all over Germany the citizens move forward to fight the climate change.
GLEN
The Global Education Network of Young Europeans (GLEN) is a joint non-profit, politically independent initiative of organisations and young Global Education mutlipliers from old and new member states of the European Union.
GLEN aims at contributing to a better understanding of global interdependency, fair and sustainable ways of living, to a responsible development policy and to North-South relations based upon equal partnership and mutual respect.

Big Jump Challenge 2012
The Big Jump Challenge is a youth campain for water conservation and political participation in Germany and Europe. On June 17th thousands of young people will jump into their local rivers and lakes to show their support for the implementation of the EU water framework directive. Come jump with us!

Löffelbein is a freelance photographer working for several NGOs in Germany. Meeting people who have to fight for survival on a daily basis raised his desire to grab his viewers’ attention and make them take action. His images furthermore show the effects of socio-political and economic processes on common people. “My images always take sides. Their aim is not only to draw people’s attention to various social grievances but also to make us realize our own responsibility in a globalized world.”
